Our Traditional Timber Box Shop Blinds are constructed from sustainably sourced European redwood timber, treated with three coats of exterior paint, and the top then covered in roofing felt. The box houses a spring operated roller to which is attached the fabric, in this instance Para acrylic cloth.
The fabric is fixed to the timber front lath using clout nails, making it therefore very simple to change just the fabric as and when required. The lath is supported by custom designed arms and slides which are forged from 22mm round mild steel and supported by safety chains. Operation of the blind is with a simple pull-out pole. The counter-balance spring roller keeps the fabric taut when extended and holds the blind shut when retracted.
It is common to add a logo to the main cover, and very often a signwriting detail to an add-on valance.
