The SK Heavyduty Cassette awning is the big brother to the Compact Lightduty Cassette. It's larger, stronger, much heavier, and therefore significantly more expensive. The Compact cassette has a maximum dimension of 4.8 wide meters by 2.73 meters projection, and is an end-fix awning only. The SK Maxi-Cassette has a maximum dimension of 7 meters wide by 3.73 meters projection, and the new Maxi-Compact version has the facility to install a large and robust centre support bracket. This awning is a full cassette, roughly egg-shaped in profile, and therefore it sits a little way off the wall, leaving somewhat of a gap behind the casing. It's appearance is very aesthetically pleasing, however as it does not seal to the wall it is not quite so practical for shop-front installation. But in a domestic situation, where a particularly large cassette awning is required to give more sun protection than the smaller Compact can provide, and still at an affordable cost without going up to the top of the range, then the SK-Maxi is the perfect choice.
