REMOTE BLINDS

Technology has moved on since the invention of the coil spring, such that roller blinds no longer have to be just manually operated. There are several manufacturers throughout Europe that have perfected the tubular motor, and we are now able to offer a full and comprehensive range of automated blind systems to suit every conceivable application. Our simplest motor is a lightweight 12 volt battery operated system, activated by way of a hand held remote transmitter, and suitable for small roller blinds on their own. Probably our most popular motor of choice for our remote operated roller blinds is the Somfy Sonnese 30, which is a 24 volt quiet tubular motor that has the facility to be hard-wired and linked to a computer control by way of a dry contact transmitter, as well as the usual radio signal operation by remote control. This motor is perfect for multi-operational modes of banks of roller blinds requiring different types of commands, and because of it's quality of build, supported by Somfy's 5 year full product warranty, we would always recommend the use of this particular motor for blinds that are installed in a position of limited access. Perfect therefore for schools, sports halls, cinemas, hospitals, or any other application where the windows are high up out of reach. For larger blinds, requiring more power of lift, we then move up to 220 volt mains powered motors, and more into the realms of commercial installations, where the options become virtually limitless.
