REFURBISHMENT PROJECTS

On many occasions clients have asked us for a quotation to replace their existing awning with a completely new one because the fabric has deteriorated, or the timber box has rotted, or the arms have seized due to too many coats of paint over the years. And it is often with pride and pleasure that we are able to inform some of these clients that, basically, "they don't make things nowadays the way they used to in the old days", and that their large old pull-out Victorian awning is definately worth saving, and most of the components are salvagable. We have carried out countless awning refurbishment projects that have very often cost the client hundreds of pounds instead of thousands for a complete new awning system. In fact, occasionally in commercial situations, some of the fabrics that we use for our modern awnings can deteriorate within a matter of just a few years, for example where used on a daily basis on a shopfront that is situated right next to a bus-stop, or even right on the seafront at a seaside resort. However, providing a good quality awning system is used in the first instance, it will always prove to be relatively quick, efficient and inexpensive to simply replace the old fabric with new. Occasionally old awnings do need to be scrapped, but don't get rid of it at least until we've had the opportunity to have a look and see if some of the mechanisms can be used. We'll always be honest, and you never know, we might be able to save you quite a lot of money.

REFURBISHMENT 1

This is a theme pub that changes it's theme on a regular basis. Everytime the theme is changed, so is the colour of the Wet-Look fabric covering the fixed Walkway Awning. At this point in time the pub was known as The Big Apple, hence the colour of the fabric was selected as apple green, with contrasting trims and scalloped valance.

REFURBISHMENT 2

This sunken garden courtyard restaurant was originally fitted with two electrically operated roof awnings that were being used mainly for rain protection and had collapsed under the weight of excessive snow. We have replaced these with a permanent roof cover in Dicoplan reinforced PVC with clear windows.
