Increasingly popular, Roman Blinds made from Customers Own Material in order to match curtains and other soft furnishings in order to create superb effect. Just buy the fabric from a fabric shop and deliver it to us and we will make your Roman Blind for you. We make them the best and simplest way of all, which happens to be the old-fashioned way - the way the old fashioned products have been tried and tested over the years. We use curtain lining and then sew battens into pockets, attach the fabric to a batten at the top with velcro and the pull cord is then simply anchored to a cleat. No pleating - no fussy bits - and no problem. We also make Roman Blinds using the very popular Pinoleum woven wood fabric (some people know these by the name of French Blinds). French Pinoleum Roman Blinds can be adapted to suit roof applications and can look particularly stunning in a conservatory environment, especially with matching free hanging blinds to the side windows. We can even cope with triangular rooflight windows, and the range of colours and styles of Pinoleum woven wood is very extensive. For Roman Blinds in Customers Own Material, obviously the choice of fabrics is endless. Roman Blinds also come under the heading of softshades, which encompass a far wider range of products that can either be made up in Customers Own Material or we have our own specific fabric ranges for. Namely these are Austrian Blinds, which are pleated horizontally and rouche upwards. Festoon Blinds, which are pleated horizontally and vertically and rouche upwards, and curtains, which fashions now dictate have an enormous variety of swags and tails, pelmets, drapes and tiebacks. We also specialise in making standard Roller Blinds in Customers Own Material, which again is becoming increasingly more popular. We use two processes, subject to the suitability of the fabric supplied to us (NB not all fabrics are suitable for this process). We can either spray the fabric with a stiffening solution, which generally seals the fabric and does away with the need for sidehems once the fabric does not fray. Or we can laminate using an iron-on backing called Vileen, which will also provide a blackout facility. This process is not particularly cheap, however the end result generally of using Customers Own Material for fully co-ordinated softshade decor can be very rewarding indeed. |
