Essentially, the company took the old fashioned principal of Chinese hand-made split cane, substituted bamboo with a natural softwood and automated the process, and thereby perfected a method of producing a regularly-shaped, machined, round timber slat. When woven into a fabric, this Pinoleum woodslat is flat, straight and stable, and enables us to manufacture beautiful, top-quality Roller and Roman Blinds. Chinese bamboo roll-up blinds are available, usually as a cheap DIY cut down product, in stores across the country, with the finished result usually being that you can see straight through them, which can often be somewhat embarrassing at night, especially if you don't actually realise this at first.
