Outdoor heating has changed dramatically in recent years. Out with the gas - in with electric. Butane and Propane gas patio heaters are no longer considered to be environmentally friendly, due to the excessive amounts of wasted heat that is lost directly into the atmosphere. Radiant heat, on the other hand, only warms solid objects, and has no effect whatsoever on the air. This makes radiant heat around 60 times more efficient than gas generated warmth, and this method has therefore now been adopted as the industry standard. We can offer a whole range of Radiant Heaters, with heat outputs ranging generally between 1kw and 2kw per unit, suitable for mounting to the mast of an umbrella, to the underside of an awning, or direct onto a wall. Some of our Radiant Heaters can be hard-wired to a simple push-button time switch that switches them off automatically after 5 minutes, a perfect solution for pub smoking shelters. Others can be operated by remote control with the addition of a light sensor, and a temperature sensor, and a motion detector. We also have heaters with integrated lights, as well as a range of decorative and free-standing units available to order.
