COTTAGE ROOF AWNINGS

The Arquati Cottage Roof Awning system is a cost effective method of providing retractable exterior sun protection for your conservatory or any other area of glass roof. We have always said that the best way to protect a room from the sun in order to reduce heat gain is to stop the sun from getting to the glass in the first place. None of the interior blinds in our extensive range do this. Neither does window film. However, an electrically operated roof awning is the perfect solution for keeping your glass-room cool in the summer. These awnings have no folding arms supporting the front rail. Instead, they have a fixed side channel and a very clever cord tensioning system which keeps the fabric taut both in the vertical and horizontal planes, thus eliminating any potential sag. The Cottage Roof Awning is available up to a maximum 25 square meters in one unit, however a unique double centre channel allows us to link multiple units together to create unlimited widths, making this system perfect not only for domestic conservatories but also for larger glass structures such as restaurants and hotel sun lounges, for example. We quite often fit this system with Ferrari's Soltis perforated Pvc fabric, which acts as a sun filter without cutting out too much ambient light. Being perforated, this fabric also allows a particularly good airflow around the awning, enabling it to be extended in higher wind speeds than would normally be recommended.
